Markham girls make waves in synchro events

Several Markham area residents who perform with Synchro Optima made their presence felt at the Provincial Tier Synchronized Swimming Championship Meet in Waterloo.

Amanda Grubb and duet partner Tristin Gavin won the gold medal in the Tier 6 Duet category.

Grubb also competed in Tier 6 Figures and placed fifth.

At the Tier 7 National Meet in Calgary, Markham residents Brittany Linton, Lauren Jankowski and Alissa Sadler were part of a Synchro Optima squad that earned a fifth-place finish.
