The Markham Synchro Club maintained its reputation for success at last weekend's Central/North Regional Championships in Toronto.

In Tier 1 compulsory, Maegan Austin finished fourth and Michelle Clarke fifth.

Nicole Ashworth won the Tier 5 figures followed by teammates Isabel Wyrzykowska in second, Liz Lovell third and Sara Lawrence fourth. Daniela Lato was first in Tier 4 and Alanna Scott fifth in Tier 2.

Coached by Amanda Jackson and Victoria Lee, the Tier 1 team of Austin, Clarke, Catalina Maass and Brianna Wodehouse was first overall.

The Tier 5 team, coached by Kim Beveridge and comprised of Katija Aladin, Nicole Ashworth, Lato, Sara Lawrence, Lovell, Dora Tahamatani and Wyrzykowska, also finished first.

Ashworth and Wyrzykowska won the Tier 5 duet while Latao and Aladin were second in Tier 4. Both duets were coached by Jennifer Kim.

In Tier 9 solo, Hayes won her third consecutive regional title.

All Markham entrants qualified for the Quebec-Ontario Cup later this month.
