Waterloo Regional Synchro did the unthinkable this past weekend at the Annual Ontario Quebec Cup meet held in Burlington--they took golds in two events at the prestigious Quebec Cup meet.

Quebec, known as the power house of synchronized swimming in Canada, has historically captured the title in all events at this coveted meet.

However, Waterloo Regional Tier 4 swimmers came through for Ontario this weekend when they captured not only the gold in the Tier 4 duet event, but the gold in the Tier 4 team event as well.

Leading the charge for the Ontario teams were Aileen Hodgson and Hannah Sine in the Tier 4 Duet event.

They also combined with teammates Richelle Gagne, Christine Horner, Kaitlyn Horner, Delaney Klein and Rhianon Klein to win the Tier 4 team event.

The swimmers were absolutely thrilled with their performance and continued a strong string of performances they've had in the pool this year.

To date the Tier 4 team has won every event they have entered this season with only the provincial championships in London remaining at the end of the month.

Two other teams from the Waterloo-based club have also qualified for provincials.
