NATIONAL SYNCHRO SWIM CHAMPIONSHIPS MAY 3-8 IN TORONTO
Toronto, Ontario - April 19, 2004 - The countdown is on to the 2004 Canadian National Synchronized Swimming Championships, which will be hosted by Synchro Swim Ontario in Toronto from May 3-8 at the Etobicoke Olympium.
Over 400 of Canada's finest synchro swim athletes from across the country will compete for National titles in Solo, Duet and Team events throughout the week in the 15 & Under, Junior and Senior categories. Teams from Mexico and Switzerland will also be attending Synchro Nationals as invitational entries.
The 2004 Canadian Olympic Synchronized Swimming Team will also be showcasing their Olympic routines at the National Championships as they prepare to compete in the Duet and Team Competition at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.
Synchro Nationals 2004 begins on Monday, May 3rd with the 15 & Under Solo Preliminaries, and continues throughout the week, culminating on Friday and Saturday with event finals. Synchro Nationals wraps-up on Saturday, May 8th with the Gala Watershow showcasing the gold medallists in each event, along with the 2004 Canadian Olympic Team performing their Olympic routines.
