Of the 11 teams, duets or solos representing the Burlington Synchronized Swimming Club at last weekend's West Regionals in London, four picked up first-place trophies.

The Tier 5 team finished ahead of London and Brant Synchro, while the duet team of Robin Lynch and Rachel Wynn took second.

Only Waterloo Region outpointed the BSSC Tier 1 team, which beat five other squads.

Three BSSC duets earned first-place marks at the competition.

The Tier 3 duet of Katie Lawson and Morgan Leblanc were tops in a field of 11 pairs, the Tier 4 duet of Kaitlyn Buis and Alisha Halgren won in a field of three, and the Tier 7 duet of Hilary Baines and Meghan Danielson was the only pair in the final.

The Tier 4 team was second best among five competing, the Tier 3 team finished third in a field of six and the Tier 2 team was seventh of eight squads.

The duet of Stephanie Saunders and Alicia Worlidge finished third among six pairs in Tier 6.

The BSSC's Tier 6 solo performer, Michelle Reichert, was fourth among nine.

Synchro clubs with Tiers 3-4-5, Tiers 3-4-5 Duet and Tier 4/5 Combination (different tiered teams) that placed first or second at Ontario regional championships are eligible to compete at the first Ontario Quebec Cup this weekend at club Les Fees d'eau de Gatineau in Quebec.

The BSSC select team, meanwhile, will compete at the upcoming nationals in Saskatoon June 1-4.
