Waterloo Regional Synchro on the podium at Trillium

Members of the Waterloo Regional Synchro team participated in the 12 and Under Provincial Championships at the Waterloo Swimplex in June and won multiple medals.

The 12 and Under Provincial Trillium Championships held at the Waterloo Swimplex in June saw Waterloo Regional Synchro emerge as one of the top clubs in the province.

Participating in all five events, Waterloo Regional synchro swimmers reached the podium in each competition.

Winning the gold in the Team category were, Rachel Kowalski, Aileen Hodgson, Stephanie Uhrig, Emily Verbiski, Christine Callaghan, Hanna Sine and Marina Triebe-Gravel.

Waterloo's team of Christine Horner, Rhianon Klein, Kaitlyn Horner, Melanie Burt, Hunter Le Truong-Nguyen, Lindsay Morris, Klaudia Mazurek, Krista Hessey, and Jacqueline Godbout earned fourth place.

Hodgson won the silver in the 10 and Under solo competition, with Kowalski winning the bronze in the 12 and Under solo competition.

Emily Verbiski and Stephanie Uhrig placed 10th and 11th in the 12 and Under solo event, but combined to win the silver medal in the duet competition.

In the Figure Competition, Rachel Kowalski was fifth, Aileen Hodgson 10th, Uhrig 14th, Emily Verbiski 15th, Christine Horner and Christine Callaghan tied for 16th and Hannah Sine was 22nd.
