Synchro swimmers hit their mark in pool

The Burlington Synchronized Swim Club tier 6/7 varied team achieved a pair of their goals at the Canadian national competition on the weekend in Etobicoke when they finished fourth overall in their category.

The BSSC team under the direction of head coach Janet Herman wanted to finish in the top six nationally and surpass a point total of 72.5 points, which the team of eight girls from Burlington, Hamilton, Oakville, and Waterdown did with a final score of 72.87.

The team members were Hilary Baines, Lee-Ann Barna, Meghan Danielson, Katie Gandy, Samantha Hobbes, Michelle Reichert, Stephanie Saunders and Alicia Worlidge.
